treating the public in a real work environment.

with the convenience of carrying it out in their
own community.

online.
This Certificate program provides
the student with the knowledge of the most common
form of massage in North America. The graduate of
the program will have competent knowledge of Swedish
Relaxation Massage as well as an introduction to manual
lymph drainage and the ability to work independently
or as an employee. Upon completion of your massage
training, graduates, can become certified massage
therapy members of the Natural Health Practitioners
of Canada, allowing clients to access their group
insurance benefits. Employment opportunities exist
in spas, on cruise ships, at holiday resorts or in
private practice as relaxation massage therapists
Massage Therapy Diploma Program (1300 hours)
Most students are already practicing relaxation massage
when they enter this program. In addition to the Swedish
relaxation massage certificate, you may want to expand
your education at our Fort McMurray training institute
to obtain your massage therapy diploma.
This massage therapy course is held over a period
of 44 weeks. It includes 11 weekends of classroom
study of practical skills and lectures, a home study
and practicum component.
The massage therapy degree training
program provides the student with an opportunity to
expand their education and learn deep tissue massage,
fascia release, stretching, history taking, orthopedic
assessment and treatment of pathologies of the entire
musculoskeletal system. These skills provide the ability
to treat whiplash, headaches, low back pain, and many
other conditions normally treated by highly qualified
Massage Therapists. They also learn how to work closely
with other healthcare professionals such as Medical
Doctors, Chiropractors, and Physiotherapists. With
the cutbacks to the healthcare system many employers
now provide insurance that includes massage therapy
by licensed massage therapists, this has created a
demand for massage therapy like never before. Upon
completion of this program, graduates should be successful
in challenging the entrance exam of any organization
of massage in Alberta or Saskatchewan.
